SAFETY-100 is a two-components product using reactive MMA (Methyl methacrylate) resin. It has excellent adhesion, excellent durability, abrasion resistance, fast curing and especially excellent in low temperature curing in winter. This product is applied to roads with insufficient slip resistance or poor linearity to help safe driving. It is applied to special roads (such as child protection zone, silver zone, etc.) to increase the slip resistance and improve the visibility of the driver. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6. Coating specification | ||||||||||||||||||||
- Surface preparing : Asphalt : The surface should be sufficiently cured (20 days or more at 20 °C), and completely remove dirt, moisture, oil and other contaminants from the surface. (In the case of asphalt roads with insufficient curing, adhesion may be reduced by oil.) Concrete : Remove any dirt, moisture, oil, etc. from the surface of the concrete. (※ If the contaminants can not be removed sufficiently, adhesion failure will occur and primer should be applied to improve adhesion.) - Surface condition : To avoid condensation of moisture, the surface temperature should be 3 ℃ above the dew point and the relative humidity below 85%. - Application : Trowel, Rake, Spray(dedicated equipment) - Thinner : Non thinning (※ Never use thinner) If the thinner is mixed, it causes poor curing. - Temperature : Use at atmospheric temperature 5 ℃ ~ 45 ℃. (※ If the temperature below 5 ℃, curing accelerators should be used. If the surface temperature is above 45 ℃, poor curing and adhesion failure may occur.) - Vehicle pass available time : 60 min. / 20 ~ 25℃ |
7. Working process
Traffic control & Surface preparing
- Safety check and passage
control.
- Remove contaminants (oil,
dust, etc.) on the site to
be applied.
Masking tape attach
- Conduct surveying according
to road alignment.
- Masking using tape.
Silica sand & hardener mix
- Mix 20 ~ 25% of silica sand
into the paint and stir thoroughly.
- Specified amount of hardener
into the paint, thoroughly
mix using a hand drill.
Application & Finishing
- Apply uniformly to specified
thickness using dedicated
equipment.
- After application, finish using
rollers and dedicated equipment.
- Products containing a
hardener should be used
within the pot life.
Masking tape remove
- Remove the masking tape
immediately after application.
Curing & Traffic control
- Check the curing condition
of the anti-skid agent and
arrange the surroundings.
- Open traffic passage.
8. Cautions on coating | ||
- Keep the mixing ratio. If the mixing ratio is different, problems such as poor curing and adhesion may occur. - If you use mixture that is past the pot life time, adhesion failure and other problems may occur. - In case of concrete surface, apply dedicated primer. - Stir to be mixed uniformly before application. - Do not mix with other company products. - Isolate from fire because the rate of evaporation is fast. - Avoid painting when the relative humidity is above 85% and the substrate surface temperature is below 5℃. ( Occur of problem (adhesion failure, poor curing, etc.) ) - Use after confirming the compatibility with the old film on repairing the old film. - Remove the moisture, dirt, oil etc from the surface of the road. - Non thinning. If the thinner is mixed, it causes poor curing. - It is necessary to coat with the prescribed coating amount at the time of coating so that the coating performance can be demonstrated.
9. Cautions on handling - Prohibition of use other than the recommended use. - Keep out of reach of children. Do not apply to children's equipment and food storage containers. - When transporting, storing and handling the product, avoid fire and direct sunlight, store it in a dry and dark, keep the container sealed, and keep the filling port facing up. - To prevent environmental pollution, completely use the contents and dispose of the remaining amount through the designated waste disposal company. - Contains organic solvents and may cause headaches, dizziness, and other health problems. Avoid ingestion, inhalation of vapors, and skin contact. - Protective gloves, masks, and protective clothing must be worn when painting, and thoroughly wash exposed skin after painting. - Do not store or paint near fire. Avoid sparks due to impact, friction, etc. during handling. - In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek doctor. - If inhaled, move to a place with clear air. If irritation develops, consult a doctor immediately. - If ingested, seek medical advice immediately. - Use the product in efficacy period.
